1924 — Two men are found guilty in the murder of Robert Franks in Chicago.

1977 — Hamida Djandoubi, an immigrant from Tunisia, is the last person executed by guillotine in France after he was convicted of murder.

1988 — Jaclyn Dowaliby, 7, was taken from her Midlothian, Illinois, home in the night. Her body was found on September 14 six miles away. Her father was originally convicted of the crime, but his conviction was overturned in 1991. Nobody else has been convicted in the case.

2001 — Sneha Anne Phillip is last seen in Manhattan. She was declared dead following the September 11th attacks the next day. She was a physician, and her family believes she may have died trying to help people in the Twin Towers.
