1959 — Charles Starkweather is executed by electric chair after a killing spree with his girlfriend.. His girlfriend, Caril Ann Fugate, 14, became the youngest female in the U.S. to be tried for first-degree murder.
1968 — The Robison family murders occur. Richard Robison, Shirley Robison, and their four children are murdered. All six are shot and killed while on vacation at Lake Michigan, just outside Good Hart. An employee accused of embezzling was the main suspect.
