Where to Start with V.C. Andrews
Does the long list of V.C. Andrews books intimidate you? Do you want to start reading these books but have no idea where to begin? Are you ready for things to get weird?
This is my recommendation for how to start reading V.C. Andrews, including which books to read and in which order. You’ll notice that my list omits many of the more recent books.
The Dollanganger Series: Start With the Classic
I recommend reading the entirety of the Dollanganger series, beginning with Flowers in the Attic. This series is probably the entire reason why you’ve heard of V.C. Andrews, so why not start here?
The books, in order:
Flowers in the Attic
Petals on the Wind
If There Be Thorns
Seeds of Yesterday
Garden of Shadows
Are all the books as good as the first one? No. But you should read them anyway.
The Casteel Series: A Must-Read
Next, you should pick up Heaven. The books that follow it are decent enough, but the ghostwriter is responsible for most of them.
